Spring Grove Music Boosters seeks to annually provide scholarships to deserving senior students who meet application criteria. Seniors must submit the scholarship application to the guidance office by the application deadline, and must have participated in at least 8 fundraisers that were designated as student account fundraisers during their high school years. Each application is assigned an alphabetical letter when received from the guidance office, and scholarship committee members have no identifying biographical data for applicants during the review process. The SGMB scholarship committee reviews each application for participation in musical activities at school and in the community, other extracurricular activities, volunteerism, work experience, grades in music classes, and letters of recommendation submitted. Each area is scored by the scholarship committee based on guidelines developed by the Spring Grove Music Boosters scholarship committee. Final scores are calculated for each applicant, and awards are based on these scores.
Below you will find a list of activities your student may be involved in over their 4 years of high school. If your student is interested in applying for the Music Boosters Scholarship their senior year or even other scholarships, it is a good idea for your student to keep a record of what they participated in each year. This will make it much easier to remember when it comes time to fill out the application. These include, but are not limited to the following:

VOLUNTEERS
Making the decision to volunteer your time and talents to the students of the Spring Grove Area School District is a very honorable one and a decision with which we hope you will be pleased.
Board Policy states that all volunteers working with school children must secure State Police and Child Abuse History Clearances and may need to have a tuberculosis screening before initiating volunteer activities.
2008-2009 Volunteer ID cards were sent to all the volunteers who completed the process and/or logged hours for the 07-08 school year. If anyone did not receive a card, please contact Lori Beaner at beanerl@sgasd.org. Also, all the information and forms you need to apply for clearances can be found on the district web site.
Please Note: The Volunteer Log Sheet and the Volunteer Manual are now available to download from this site by going to the "Printable Forms" page or from the District Web Site.
