Homework:
Review SIGHT WORDS each night. Students should be able to read them and work
on spelling and using them in sentences. Also, you may play games using the
sight words. If your child has mastered reading the word please have them
spell the words and put them in sentences.
Short "a"words are being introduced. Help your child sound out these words so
they may become proficient readers. I will send home practice worksheets in
the future. One worksheet per week, given on Monday and returned by Friday.
Also the students are learning to write numbers up to 30. They need to
practice writing the numbers the correct way.
We have worked on letters A - L if you would like your child to practice
writing these letters and practice writing our names.
