I have been working with children for twenty-seven years. I have done a lot
of work in the public school system. I have been at St.Athanasius/Immaculate
Conception for twelve years as Director of CARES Program, and eight years as
Phys. Ed. teacher. I substitute in all grades. I work the Summer Camp program
at Immaculate Conception and have been doing that for the last twelve years.
I attend classes regularly on Phys.Ed., Health, and for running a CARES
Program. I attended Temple University for Elementary Education. I am
extremely good with children and can work successfully with large groups. I
also tutor in all subjects. This year I plan on taking classes that will steer
me towards Social work. I am also proud to say that under my reign as
Director of the CARES Program, it has grown tremendously and has a great
reputation. During the spring of 2006, I attended classes in several subjects
at the Convention Center. In the summer, I attend Physical Education classes
on a regular basis to keep up with new ideas concerning a healthy lifestyle
for the children.
As a teacher of Phys.Ed./Health I consistently work with the children on
nutrition and exercise, hoping to instill the importance of being aware and
following good health conscious goals; the earlier, the better. The world is
fighting an alarming rate growth in obesity in our children. It has become
an increasing concern. My mission is to make sure that the children are
educated enough so that they can realize the importance of taking care of
their health.
