About The Teacher
Welcome to my web page! I have been happily teaching third grade at St. Athanasius/Immaculate Conception School for twenty-five years. Prior to coming here, I taught first grade in Connecticut for 12 years. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Science degree in Special Education. I am married to Ronald O'Brien and we have a black and white kitten named Nehemiah Moses Bevard O'Brien. In my spare time, I love to read, do crafty things, garden, travel and be with my family. My expectations for the year are for the children to work to the best of their ability, work well with each other and the school staff, treat each other with respect and kindness and to continue to grow and mature. Each child is expected to become less dependent on the teacher and more self- reliant in all academic areas. Studying will be an essential part of the year. As we progress this year, I hope to share not only my knowledge in the subject areas but instill in the children the moral values that are intrinsic in the values of this Catholic school. I am looking forward to another wonderful year and am so happy to have your child in my class!
