Sister Arleen McNicholas, S.S.J.

Welcome and blessings!

My name is Sister Arleen McNicholas and I am a Sister of St. Joseph of
Philadelphia. I have been missioned the last 21years here at SAIC, first as
the 6th Grade Teacher and now as the Librarian and Media Center coordinator.
Prior to coming to SAIC I taught for many years in the schools of the
Archdiocese of Philadelphia. I received my BS Degree in Education from
Chestnut Hill College, and a MA Degree in Sacred Scripture from St. Charles
Borremeo Seminary. I also have my PA Certification in Elementary Education.
In 1989 I received the "Distinguished Catholic Educator Award" from the
Archdiocese of Phildadelphia.

As I begin my 22nd year here at SAIC I look forward to teaching your dear
children. I will strive to be God's presence to them and instill in them a
great love of God and neighbor.

During my spare time I love spending time with family and friends, reading
a good book, watching sports on TV, and unraveling SUDOKU'S.

Mission For The Class

My mission for the students is to create an atmosphere of respect, joy,
peace, and delight during "Library Class."

I will also assist the teachers in improving the Reading and Grammar Skills
of the students through exciting materials available to us here at SAIC.
