I am a graduate of West Chester University with B.S. in Elementary and Special Education.
In December 2010, I completed a Master's Degree in Education from Gratz College and intend to
continue my educational journey as I will be a "student forever".
I am deeply humbled to be in such a fantastic school with wonderful
students and parents who give tremendous support to my programs.
My goal in Physical Education is for my students to be exposed to a
wide variety of games, sports and skills which will encourage them to be
active for life. Sportsmanship, cooperation, honesty, sharing, taking turns, playing fair, practicing
patience and learning to win humbly and lose with dignity are all life skills that are stressed weekly.
As The Learning Support Teacher, I want my students to believe in themselves, gain confidence and
experience success by mastering their goals, one step at a time ,in a structured and actively engaging
learning environment.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
It is my goal to create a well balanced P.E. program that keeps your child
active for the majority of the time they are in my class. Wellness and
fitness are integral parts of the program and will be stressed during the
entire year. Research shows that good nutrition is linked to better behavior
and academic performance. Being physically fit also keeps students at a
healthy weight curtailing future health risks.
LEARNING SUPPORT
Using a multi-sensory approach and adapting it to various learning styles is the core philosophy of
educating the whole-child. By breaking down concepts into small, manageable tasks, success can be
gained one step at a time as each child learns that success and self confidence go hand in hand. I truly
believe that patience, diligence and small group instruction bring fruitful results.
