Dear SBS Families,
This past week we bid farewell to our Preschool and Kindergarten classes. We thank you for entrusting your children to our care. They have brightened our halls, brought smiles to our faces, and truly radiated Christ's love to each of us. We hope to welcome many of you back in September.
Tomorrow the class of 2013 will leave for the last time at 11:55 a.m. We will have our traditional “clap out” for them at that time. The students in grades 1-7 will line the halls at 11:45 in preparation for the moment. Many of these students have been at St. Bernadette’s their entire academic career. They will be missed.
Mrs. Repino’s Farewell – St. Bernadette School has truly been blessed by Mrs. Repino’s 21 years of loving and devoted service. Her quiet unassuming manner has touched countless lives. Mrs. Repino has embodied our Blessed Mother’s gentle and humble spirit. At our closing liturgy on June 14th we will wish Mrs. Repino a final farewell. Following the liturgy, students in grades 1-7 will pay tribute to Mrs. Repino in O’Brien Hall. Students will then return to school and at 10:15 line the halls for a “clap out” for Mrs. Repino. We invite parents and alumni to line the sidewalk along Turner Avenue as Mrs. Repino makes her final school day departure at 10:15 AM on June 14th. However, Mrs. Repino will return to work in the office from June 17th - 30th for anyone wishing to stop by and bid her one last farewell.
New Administrative Assistant - Mrs. Sandy Maselli has been hired as our new Administrative Assistant. She comes with a wealth of experience. Mrs. Maselli will begin on July 1st. Please join me in making her feel welcome.
Final Call for Parent Volunteers: Blue and White Day is this Tuesday, June 11 at Dermond Field ( rain date: Wed.6/12). Please send Mrs. Wallace an email ( email@example.com) if you would like to help out! Attached is the Volunteer List to date. If your name is missing, please email Mrs. Wallace and pardon the omission. Thanks to all of you who have been so supportive of Blue & White Day throughout the years.
Used Uniform Exchange – On July 31st from 5 – 7 PM we will have an official uniform exchange evening. If you have any gently used uniforms that you would be willing to contribute, please have them to the office by July 26th. Any uniforms left over after that evening, will be available in the cafeteria until August 23rd. After that, they will be available upon request.

Congratulations to our JV Softball team who advanced to the Region 25 Championship game. Our Varsity team is headed to the Archdiocesan Championship game! Good luck to both teams and Coaches Leo Wesolowski (JV) and Tom McNulty (Varsity), both SBS alumni!
Please continue to spread the word about all of the good things happening at St. Bernadette School. There are still a few remaining spaces in some of our classrooms.
I cannot begin to express my gratitude for all of the blessings that each of you have brought to St. Bernadette School this year. We are truly a faith community committed to the spiritual lives of the young people of St. Bernadette Parish. May the Lord be with you and your families during these summer months. Please do not hesitate to call or email me with any questions over the summer.
God bless you,
