Work is being done every day to form Our Lady of Mercy Regional Catholic School. Please visit the STC tab and watch your e-mail for frequent updates coming from Mrs. Dilts and Mr. Hayden.
There are a variety of Unity events planned to help our students become one student body. Please see the schedule below for upcoming events and news of events that have already taken place:
Current 2nd Grades: Ice Cream Social and Games - Thursday, April 12th 6pm
Current 3rd Grades: Ice Cream Social and Games - Thursday, April 19th 6pm - correction
Current 4th Grades: Obstacle Course and Snacks - Thanks so very much to the coordinators for the 4th grade unity event and all of their parent volunteers! The children and parents came together for a wide variety of relay games that had everyone cheering for more!
Current 5th Grades: Obstacle Course and Snack - Close to 60 fifth graders got together for a variety of games and a scavenger hunt. There were puzzles to be solved and all kinds of challenges for the teams to work out! Another great evening!! Thanks to all of the parent volunteers on the 5th grade committee for helping to make this such a successful event!
Current 6th Grades: Break the Ice and Pizza - Thanks very much to the 6th grade coordinator and all of the parents who came out to help the sixth graders from St. Alphonsus, St. Catherine, and St. Anthony- St. Joseph, "Break the Ice" and begin to get to know each other. The pizza, fun and games had the group of close to 50 students talking and laughing in no time! What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
Current 7th Grades: Pizza and Game Night - Close to 40 of our 7th graders came together for pizza and fun this evening! Many thanks to the coordinator and all of her parent volunteers! The theme was fun...and everyone certainly had some!
There will also be an Open House for incoming Kindergarten families on Thursday, May 3rd from 1:00-2:15 and 6:00-7:30. The kindergarten teachers will be there.
All events will take place at the Maple Glen Campus, the location of our new Our Lady of Mercy Regional Catholic School.
Thank you to all the committee members that are lending a hand in the formation of Our Lady of Mercy Regional Catholic School. As the saying goes, "Many hands make for light work". While the work may not be "light", it would be impossible without those of you that have committed yourselves to the success of our new school. I am proud and grateful to be a member of the SCS community.
Please spread the word about our new Early Childhood Center! We have had a wonderful response and the classes are filling up fast! Please stop into the office to pick up an information folder if you or someone you know is interested.
