Please note that a field trip description and a permission form were sent home on Thursday, 5/24. Our class will be taking a field trip next Friday, 6/1, to SMG Sportsplex in Warminster for some team building activities. We will be going on the trip with the first and third grades. This field trip will be from 9:30-12:30. After the trip, the students will return to school to enjoy a pizza lunch that will be provided. Please read the description of the upcoming field trip and return the permission form and the eight dollar fee in a labeled envelope as soon as possible. I would like to have all permission forms and money returned by Tuesday, 5/29, if possible. I am sorry for the short notice about the trip but we were awaiting approval on the buses for a while. We did not want to say anything definitely until the buses were confirmed.
Yellow test folders will be sent home on Tuesday, 5/22. Please return all graded materials except for fast fact quizzes by this Friday, 5/25.
Please note that our writing celebration for the poetry unit is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 5/22. I'm very much looking forward to hearing the poems that the students have chosen to include in their poetry books.
There are two dress down days this week. The first is a 60s themed dress down day on Wednesday, 5/23, and the second is a stocking stuffer dress down day on Friday, 5/25.
Please note that there is no library for the rest of the school year.
There will be a multiplication quiz on Thursday, 5/24.
We are running low on tissues in our classroom. If you could donate a box or two to get us through to the end of the school year, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to everyone who already donated a box. The extra boxes are really coming in handy.
Please note that the students will be completing spelling homework activities this week. However, there will be no test on the words on this week's list due to the fact that they are all review words.
The final reading theme test of the year is scheduled to be given next week. As a part of this theme test, the students will need to review ten of the Robust Vocabulary words studied during this theme. The words will be available on this website under the Vocabulary link starting on Tuesday, 5/22. Please study them with your child as often as possible during the next week so that they are ready for the Robust Vocabulary section of the final theme test.
