How are birthdays celebrated in Room 5?

Every child loves to celebrate their birthday. I make a special point to
assign a special day for children with summertime birthdays. Please feel
free to send in a treat for the class. (25 students, if you choose to send
in cupcakes or cookies, please also send in napkins!) The children will be
given a homework pass to use for 1 written assignment of thier choice, I
also acknowlegde their Baptism day with a homework pass.

Will the children have homework on the weekends?

I believe weekends are family time, however we cannnot forget all the
blessings that God has been so good to give us. Therefore each weekend the
children should attend Mass, especially since we are preparing to recieve 2
sacraments this year. Also, since I am a firm believer in helping the
children to be strong readers they are required to read 10 mins each day.
Very rarely will I ever schedule a test on a Monday, but it does happen
sometimes, I will give you plenty of notice.

Each students needs to bring to school 4 used tennis balls with a slit cut in
