I have a Bachelors in English,a Masters in Special Education, and
certification in the Archdiocesan Principals Program. I initially taught for
five years in a special education center in the public school system. After
being home with our five children, I returned to teaching as a substitute
teacher and finally as a 7th-8th grade teacher at Holy Cross in Mount Airy
for ten years before becoming principal of St. Bridget in East Falls. This
is
my ninth year at St. Christopher School and each year I get more and
more excited about what we can accomplish together by having a vision for
our children and working to achieve it. I am inspired by working with such a
great pastor, faculty, and parents.
In conjunction with the rest of the Archdiocese and, indeed, the nation, our
goal is to Light the Way.
Here at SCS, this has been a year in which our Middle States self-study and
evaluation has shown just how we do "light the way" for our students to be
productive citizens and strong Catholics as they grow into adulthood.
How do we prepare our students? We look at each way that we must light for
them so that they can find their way down that way. We need to consider the
spiritual way, the intellectual one, the social one, as well as the personal
one. What a challenge, right? Consider the stakes though. Let us Light the
Way together!
