Hello!! I would like to introduce myself to all of you!! My name is Miss
Sharkey and I look forward to finishing the year as your child's 5th grade
teacher. I am a graduate of Temple University where I received my
certification and BS degree in Early Childhood and Elmentary Education. I
currently live in Northeast Philadelphia. I am an Archbishop Ryan Alumni
and
also a member of St. Jerome Parish. During my free time I enjoy spending
time with my family and friends, reading, shopping, and swimming. I also
love the beach and spend all my summers at the Jersey shore:)

I hope to have each child reach his/her potential by offering a
variety of learning activities in a relaxed atmosphere. My aim is to have
them explore ideas through reading, art, speeches, research, music, and
writing. I do encourage supplementary reading with creative extended
activities. This will increase their vocabulary, awaken their interest, and
connect the curriculum.I do plan meaningful field trips that are extensions
of the classroom experience. Many assignments are geared simply to develop
the thought process, so the children cannot be wrong! Hopefully, if the
learning process is both challenging and fun, children will enjoy education.
