What is the quickest way to reach Mrs. McFillin?

Under normal circumstances, please contact me through the school office 
number listed above.  If you wish me to contact you by telephone or arrange 
a meeting, you may email me at my email address (see my home page).  If it

What supplies do I need?

For September, your child will need certain supplies to use in second 
grade.  Most of these items you may purchase at your local stores.  However, 
some items must be bought from school.  Those items to be bought from school 
include:
                       *Class Pack- $20.00
		7 copybooks		              1 theme tablet 
		2pencil cases			1 glue stick
               	4 folders 
		Scholastic News-$3.75       	1 calculator @ $4.00 (new 
students only)

		Total = $23. 75			

Kindly send in a check in the amount of either $23.75  made payable to St. 
Christopher School, in an envelope marked with your child’s name and room 
number to class during the first week of school.

Other supplies needed include:

		A sturdy schoolbag			4 pencils with 
erasers
		1 red pen				1 box of crayons
		1 roll of scotch tape                                        
1 pair of safety scissors
                             1 package of markers			2 
boxes of facial tissues
                             1 
highlighter                                                   1 package of 
construction paper
                             1 Bottle of Elmer’s 
Glue                                Sharpened Pencils
			1 - 12 inch ruler with both standard and metric 
measurements
			1 - coloring book for use on bad weather days
			1 – package of 3 x 5 index cards (to be kept at home 
for your use
				in writing absence notes, early dismissal, 
late notes etc.)

It is also required that your child have a small kitchen towel for his or 
her lunch box.  The children may buy a pretzel or bring their own snack each 
day.  Pretzels are $1.00 per week and milk or juice at lunchtime is $.30 per 
day.

Required Summer Reading List for Students Entering Second Grade

		Amelia Bedelia’s Family Album 	by	Peggy Parish
		Henry and Mudge and the Careful Cousin     by    Cynthia 
Rylant
		Freckle Juice	by	Judy Blume

The children will work with these books during the  school year.  It is 
necessary for each child to have his/her own books.
