Dear Parents & Students,
The research paper is a very important writing piece for 8th grade. We will
be taking this in steps and all writing will be done in school and typed at
home. We are now working on the research for their topics. This year the
students are working on finding information on the job they want to do in the
future. They must research not only the field, but a person in that field.
The person could be famous on not famous, but they must have the person's
biographical information as well as their professional information. They are
required to have at least 6 different sources and not all sources can come
from the internet. All sources must be reputable sources. They are also
doing some research here in library and computer. Please make sure that all
research and note cards are brought to class every day. Students must not
fall behind.
All tests went home in social studies and ILA. You should see a test in
social studies for chapter 21 and vocabulary test unit 8 and speckled band
retelling as well as persuasive essay. As always any questions or concerns
