A TRIBUTE TO THE CLASS OF 2008
In the beginning of the 2007-2008 school year, the Class of 2008 performed
the "Jeremiah Rap" for Spirit Day last fall. This was a class project begun
in seventh grade in learning how to write lyrics in a rap musical form.
These lyrics corresponded to the seven rules of the Jeremiah program here to
curb bullying here at St. Christopher School. To honor the Class of 2008, I
am posting the lyrics of the rap. Keep up the good work wherever you go!
Ms. Paul :)
JEREMIAH RAP
In our school is a great new rule,
It tells up not to bully -- because it's uncool.
We took a pledge of what to do -
So kids don't go home crying - BOO HOO!
Jeremiah - the itty- bitty frog,
Will always be there where you're lost in da fog.
Listen to the rules, when you're in trouble,
Should something happen get HELP on the double!
Stop the bullying right in school today,
Just be confident and walk away.
Bullies don't like you if you act unafraid,
If you do the right thing, the price will be paid!
If you're being bullied, tell a friend, teach' or parent
Cause being a friend beats violence's ugly spirit.
Stay in safe places - it's the right thing to do,
If you're really, really smart - you'll hang with the right crew!
Bully free - is the way to be,
So don't pick on poor classmates like - John Lee.
Be a good example - you should act better.
Take a chance - be more like J-J-Jenny Retter.
Be a friend, don't put others down,
Follow the "golden rule" - you'll be like Maureen Brown.
Walk away and do what I say,
It's much cooler to act like Caroline K.
Being confident is the way to go,
Jeremiah's way is better, ask Tori DuBoe.
Bullying's wrong and this is the message,
Solve things peacefully, no fists, force or bandages.
Never be afraid cause bullies like cowards
You can find me in a church praying long hours.
I'm never acting up, violence is never good,
You can find me with my friends when I'm hanging in da hood.
WORD!
"May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back. May
the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand, and may
God hold you in the palm of his hand." Irish Blessing
God Bless You All!
HAVE A HAPPY AND SAFE SUMMER EVERYONE!
