St. Christopher School Collects Money to Support Special Education Schools in the Archdiocese

Our school collected $1,381 dollars through fundraising to support
the special education schools in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Galdo, and Taylor Green represented our school at an event held at Archbishop Carroll High School on April 25, 2013.

and 4 year olds) through to Eighth Grade. Our school is fully accredited

Playground Represents More Than a Space for Recess
Our school was recently highlighted in a local online
newspaper regarding the investment in the playground
to support the expansion of our early childhood education programs.

October 24,2012- St. Christopher School was the
recipient of scholarships through the Bridge Educational Foundation during a ceremony at Little Flower High School.
The foundation serves as the bridge between corporations
and families trying to afford the best educational opportunities for their children. Many of our
families benefit from this program every year.

St. Christopher School takes a stand against bullying
The peer helpers produced a presentation for our
school community on bullying and cyber-bullying.
The presentation focused on respecting others
and taking a stand against bullying.

Phillie Phanatic Visits St. Christopher School
The Philadelphia Phillies Phanatic visited St.
Christopher School on April 23, 2013 to honor
Mrs. McGovern’s third grade class for reading
over 2,000 books. The Be a Phanatic about
Reading Program is for children in Kindergarten
through eighth grade. The program presented by
Comcast was created to encourage children to
improve their literacy skills by reading for
a minimum of 15 minutes a day. The third grade
class of Mrs. McGovern is a top performing
classroom in the region.

Young Heroes Club Honored at the National Liberty Museum
St. Christopher School was recently honored at
the National Liberty Museum for their Young Heroes
Club. The Young heroes club was formed to promote
a civilian outreach program which fosters brotherhood,
good citizenship and genuine caring for fellow students.

The full time Advancement Director reports to the principal and is responsible for the overall planning, management, coordination, and evaluation of the enrollment management, development, communications and constituent/public relations programs of the school – activities that create a supportive climate for enrollment and fundraising. This is all in an effort to provide sufficient resources to insure the School can achieve its mission.


• Promote understanding, acceptance and support of the vision and mission statements, and objectives of the school
• Set priorities to meet annual goals
• Work closely with the advancement committee of the board to set and achieve goals and objectives

• Responsible for the planning, management and implementation of the marketing, recruitment and retention of students. This includes but is not limited to open houses, campus visits and tours, re-registration, brochure creation, etc.
• Working closely with key volunteers, coordinate the external and internal marketing efforts and initiatives that attract and retain students in sufficient numbers to support the programs of the school.
• Plan, collect data, make projections and report enrollment management data.

• Responsible for the planning, management, and implementation of all fundraising and friend raising initiatives.
• Plan, manage, and implement annual giving, major gifts, and events. This includes, but is not limited to: prospect identification and research, cultivation, solicitation, gift processing, acknowledgments and stewardship.
• Educate and engage key volunteers (i.e. Parents Association) in implementing mission based fundraising.
• Works to create and support a culture of philanthropy within the school.

• Responsible for setting and maintaining professional writing and design standards for school communications. This includes, but is not limited to:
o Print publications including school newsletter/magazine, marketing materials, giving program brochures, and direct mail pieces
o Electronic communications including website and email
