Hello!
Welcome into the season of Fall. This is the time a teacher enjoys
seeing the students in many colorful ways as they begin to learn to read,
share story events and unlock new avenues of adventure in their
development.It is my pleasure to be a part of their great experience.
The First Grade students are now reading for enjoyment and learning
how to decode vocabulary words, work with short vowels groups and draw
story conclusions by writing simple sentences. They are now into the fun
of reading stories. Telling them can be fun, too.
The Creative Writers in Second Grade finished writing about
themselves.They will learn how to write in poetry verse. We just finished
writing Japanese Haiku Poetry. We are starting Tanka Poetry which is like
Haiku except it has two extra 7 syllable lines in it. Look for our
copybooks in the hallway. You will enjoy our stories and poetry.
