FAQ
How are Cub Scouts organized? Our Pack is broken into five Dens for each of five grades(1-5). The program is set forth by the Boy Scouts of America. At the end of earning the requirements, scouts advance to the Boy Scout Troop for grades 6 and above.
What is the time commitment for a participating scout? Pack Meetings are once a month for all five grades normally on a Friday night. Den Meetings for each grade are once or twice a month either immediately after school or on a weekday evening depending on the Den Leader’s schedule. Sleepovers and outings are listed on the main page of the Cub Scouts and vary slightly each year.
What are the Cub Scout Dens?
1st grade – Tiger
2nd grade – Wolf
3rd grade – Bear
4th grade – Webelos 1
5th grade – Webelos 2
What are the costs involved? Our dues are $29/year for the 2010-2011 year. This includes the handbook for the year and covers operating expenses. We subsidize our costs by having one fund raiser per year selling Corbi’s Pizza and Baked Goods. Uniforms are suggested but not required and can be purchased online or at the Boy Scout store in Devon, PA. Dues do not include trips.
Is it too late to join? You can join at any time of the year.
How do I join? Call the Den Leader for your son’s grade listed on the main page of the St Denis Cub Scouts area of this website
