About The Teacher

I have been teaching at St. Ignatius School since 1984.
My first year was spent in 3rd grade, but every year since then
I have enjoyed teaching 2nd grade. I love 2nd grade!
Second graders usually really enjoy coming to school and
doing well. I not only enjoy teaching Reading and Math,
but I truly love bringing the children even closer to Jesus
through the sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist.
It is an honor to have such an important role in their lives.

This is the third year that I have Miss Kristin Bell as my teaching
assistant. Kristin is a Wilson grad and a graduate of Marshall University
in Huntington, West Virginia where she received a bachlor's degree in
elementary education. She spent two years at Sacred Heart Elementary
School in West Reading as a teaching assistant to Mrs. Kathy Napolitano
before returning to Alvernia College where she received a double masters in
elementary education and special education. She is a great asset to our
classroom and looks forward to working with your child this coming school
  year.

Mission For The Class

My mission for the class is to encourage the children to always do
their best. I want them to have a wonderful year in second grade-
especially as they receive their sacraments of First Penance and
First Holy Communion. I want them to grow spiritually and academically
and to not only be strong 3rd graders next year, but healthy, happy
 citizens their whole lives!
