December 22, 2009 ADVENT ANGELS: Please send in your final gift for the gift exchange on Wed. Dec. 23,2009. We will be playing a game to guess who our Advent Angels have been. HOLIDAY CRAFTS: Thank you to the mom's from 4.1 and 4.2 who organized and made our craft afternoon possible. A great time was had by all! CHRISTMAS SHOW PRACTICE: Mr. Birmingham clarified the dress code for tomorrow on this afternoon's annoucements. Students may dress up tomorrow or wear their uniform. No jeans of any color. WALKATHON PIZZA PARTY: Everyone will be provided pizza for lunch on Tuesday as a thank you for the great response to the walkathon. WEDNESDAY: Last day of school before the Christmas Holiday! Dress up day for students. Show for parents. Breakfast will be served in the classroom. Students need rapid recall on their multiplication facts! We will be getting into 2 digit x 2 digit numbers very soon. Long division will also be coming up quickly after the holidays. It is very hard to be accurate if you don't know your tables. Please review these with your child daily. The children like using the white boards, but my dry erase markers are running dry. Please send a pack of dry erase markers to school for your child to use. Please look for these papers and read them. If there is a portion of the paper to return to the teacher, please send it in by the due date. Return the folder to school on Friday. Test folders are sent home the beginning of every week. Please sign and return your test folders within 2 days. Homework Policy: For the second quarter students should be responsible to do all of their homework. They are now very familiar with how we track homework and what my expectations are. Homework is always posted on my website, but the student must be responsible for bringing home the needed books to complete the assignment.
