~ Packets distributed in class on 9/30/09
~ Students placed additional project notes in copybooks

** CONCERNS REGARDING TRADE BOOK ASSIGNMENTS & PROJECTS **
(The following policies pertain to all trade book projects assigned
throughout the year)
(1) books are assigned per co-op group (4-6 per group) - not everyone
does the same book at the same time
(2) due to multiple books being read simultaneously, not all books will
be the same length
(3) due to multiple books being read simultaneously, not all projects
will be the same - there will be varying degrees of difficulty &
number/length of requirements
(4) we will probably do 4-5 trade books this year : therefore, a
student may have the shortest book for one assignment & the longest book for
the next
(5) trade books are meant to be a fun diversion from our regular text -
I put a lot of thought into assigning the books & I try to consider a
student's aptitude for reading and their personal interests - there is also
much thought put into the accompanying projects ... I really strive to make
them fun & interesting
