RESEARCH STATES THAT THE SINGLE MOST ACCURATE PREDICTOR OF A STUDENT'S
ACHIEVEMENT IN SCHOOL IS NOT INCOME OR SOCIAL STATUS, BUT THE EXTENT TO
WHICH THE STUDENT'S FAMILY IS INVOLVED. HAVING PARENTS AND FAMILIES
INVOLVED IS PARAMOUNT TO THE SUCCESS OF ANY EDUCAIONAL PROGRAM. I WILL
ENCOURAGE PARENT PARTICIPATION AND REACH OUT TO INVOLVE PARENTS IN THEIR
CHILDREN'S EDUCATION BY SHOWING THEM HOW THEY CAN HELP THEIR CHILDREN AT
HOME. I BELIEVE PARENTS WANT TO WORK WITH THE TEACHERS TO HELP THEIR
CHILDREN DO THEIR BEST. WHEN SCHOOLS, FAMILIES, AND COMMUNITY GROUPS WORK
TOGETHER TO SUPPORT LEARNING, CHILDREN TEND TO DO BETTER IN SCHOOL AND LIKE
SCHOOL MORE.
