Reading Response Log - Spiral Notebook
The Reading Response Log is designed to help make you more aware of what you
are reading. Reading Logs help you to improve your writing and to express
your thoughts and understanding of your reading more clearly and more deeply.
Your log is NOT a plot summary or a book report. Don’t tell the story. It
IS your response to what you have read as you read it.
Where do I have to write this stuff?
* Please handwrite your responses legibly in the Notebook
that I gave you.
* Each entry must begin on the top of a new page.
* Write only on one side of the page.
* Use only a black or blue pen.
When do I have to write?
* After every 2 chapters. Check which are due on my Teacher Web site.
How much do I have to write?
* You should be able to write one side of a page about what you
just read.
* You are free to write more, of course, but remember this is a
reading log.
* Your responses should be focused on the book.
