Why do we get our homework book signed?

I ask that the parents sign the homework books on a daily basis so
you will be kept informed of the daily work, test, projects, and book
reports. You also can keep track of any dermits or important notes
that are being sent home. I am hoping this is an easy way to
communicate on a daily basis.

Do dermits accumulate for the entire year?

No, at the end of each marking period the slate is wiped clean.
Dermits for the previous semester do not carry into the next semester.

What happens when a child is absent?

Your child is assigned a "homework buddy" who records the daily
classwork and homework that your child missed. This work will be sent
home with a sibling or neighbor. If this is not possible, please
call the school office and pick up your child's work after 3:00 P.M.
When the student returns to school tests and /or assignments will be
made up within a few days.
