How do parents communicate with the teacher?

Each fourth grader has a "take home" folder which is for fourth grade 
communication.
All correspondence to your child's teacher should be sent on an index card.
This includes absence notes and any change in daily transportation.

Should I help my child with their homework?

Parents should review homework each night and guide their child where help 
is needed.
After reviewing homework, parents should sign the homework book each night.

Can I send a birthday treat in with my child?

Yes, your child may bring a treat in on the day he/she wishes to celebrate.
Individually wrapped treats work best.

Should books be covered?

Yes, all textbooks should be covered with brown paper or a book sox.  All 
workbooks should be covered in clear contact paper with your child's name, 
room number, on a white label placed on the right hand corner.
