When will my child be confirmed?.
I will let you know the date of Confirmation as soon as the bishop lets us
know when he will be coming to St. Max. Mrs. Connelly, our Director of
Religious Education will be sending you information in the mail regarding
Confirmation preparation and the time of our ceremony. There will be a
mandatory meeting for parents scheduled soon where Mrs. Connelly will give
you a packet of all the information and dates you will need for Confirmation.

Will there be a hot lunch program this year??
For the first week of school, special lunches will be offered for your
convenience. You can order these lunches using the order form that came
home the first day of school. There will be a hot lunch program this year.
Your weekly communication envelope will provide you with a monthly calendar
of meal menues and the information to order hot lunch. Lunches are ordered
and paid for in advance on a monthly basis. Your child can choose which days
he will be ordering lunch from the monthly menue of meals. Simply fill out
the small envelopes for the days your child will be ordering.

What supplies will my child need for school this year?
All of the supplies your child will need this year is included in the Back
to School letter. Your child's notebooks, subject folders, assignment
planner, accordian file folder, looseleaf tablet and sachtel will be
purchaced at school. PLEASE be sure that your child has his own pens,
pencils, a good eraser, book socks for the text books and a TI34II
calculator in school every day. Your child should also have a complete set
of basic art supplies: crayons, broad and fine markers, colored pencils,
scissors, glue stick, ruler and tape. Your child will also need a safety
compass and a protractor. It helps the day proceed with much less stress if
they come to school prepared. I would suggest that a box of extra supplies
be kept at home so that your child can replace depleted supplies as the year
progresses.

When will Terra Nove Tests be administered?
The Terra Nova Tests are scheduled for sometime in October. I will pass the
date to you when it becomes available. We will be reviewing test taking
skills with your children so that they will feel relaxed. More information
will come to you the week before the test. The best preparation for the
Terra Nova Tests is a positive attitude and a good night's sleep.
Everything else will fall into place.
