Library books due  Friday May 18 ,2012.

We had an amazing time at Pine Grove Furnace! Thank you to all who made this trip a memorable one!

 


Our standardized testing will be May 14-18. Please remember to wear comfy clothing, get lots of rest and eat a healthy breakfast each day this week! Also, remember to pack healthy snacks ( No chips, cookies or cakes) and a healthy lunch! We are going to be using those brains this week!


We will be beginning a state research project that the students will be working on for the month of April and into May. This will be a cross curriculum project involving old and new skills. They are to keep the assignment paper and keep track of due dates for each part. We will be working on these at school but they may need to work on things at home at times as well. If they do not have the necessary materials at home (ie:  crayons, paper, access to the internet) please have them make me aware and I will provide some for home use or allow extra time for research. We will also be visiting the library and checking out research materials for the students to use. They are very exciting about this project and I think it is going to be an wonderful experience for us all!






some notes:
Looks like spring is making an early appearance! Please still send your child to school in a light jacket. The weather has a habit of changing and its good to have something if the wind starts whipping up or rain suddenly falls !:)
We will also be visiting the library every other week. Some of the children had fines on their library cards. Please contact the library to take care of any outstanding fines so that the kids can check out books.
