This week we will jump into Advent!  We will use our liturgical wheels to help us understand the liturgical calendar, and begin our exploration of Advent.
  

In math we are finishing chapter 3 (graphing & data), with a test tentatively scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 3rd.
 

We will read 2 stories- a phonics story (The Old Gollywampus) and a non-fiction story about snakes.  We will use graphic organizers to help our metacognition skills!
 

In grammar we will learn about irregular plural nouns (man-men, mouse-mice).

 

Our phonics sound is long o (o, oa, ow, oe)

Our spelling words are on the webpage.  Spelling tests are each Friday.

 

In social studies we will learn some new map skills.

 

In science we are beginning to explore the earth's surface.
