I have been teaching Spanish for 15 years. I am certified to teach in the
state of Pennsylvania and also carry a Master's Degree in Modern Languages
from Villanova University. My journey began after college when I moved to
Spain in 1992 where I worked as an au pair. I fell in love with the country,
the people and their language. When I returned to the U.S. a year later, I
decided to pursue a certification to teach Spanish. My teaching career began
at Rutgers University in Camden where I taught Spanish as a part time
instructor while also serving as a teaching assistant at Villanova University
under the tuition scholar program. Over the past 15 years, I have taught in
both public and private schools and have created various programs to meet the
educational needs of students from pre-k through high school.
My goal is to offer a program to the students that will expand their
knowledge of Spanish through a positive learning environment. I
strive to meet the individual needs of the students while preparing them for
future foreign language instruction. I also provide methods that the students
can utilize when studying a foreign language.
