Do the children bring a snack?
Yes. The children bring one snack and one drink in a snack bag for recess time. The children have the option of buying a soft pretzel instead of bringing a snack.Back to Top
Do the children have to be potty trained?
Yes, the children have to be potty trained. At the beginning of the year we collect an "extra" change of clothes if your child has an accident.Back to Top
How do we know what you will be teaching every week?
Every week I send out a "Weekly Newsletter" that contains information about the letter of the week, the lesssons that will be taught and important school information.Back to Top
How do I know what kind of day my child had?
We use a discipline calendar on a daily basis. Your child will receive a sticker or a sad face on the calendar with a brief explanation next to it. Parent's sign the calendar every night. This is a wonderful tool for communication. It works great!!!Back to Top
Do the children receive a report card?
We give out progress reports twice a year. The first progress report is followed by a parent-teacher conference.Back to Top
Do the children go on field trips?
Yes, we go on two to three field trips. Parents are required to go on all field trips.Back to Top
Do the children ever play outside?
Yes, weather permitting, we use the preschool playground. Preschool has their own fenced-in playground.Back to Top
Yes, we offer lunch bunch. Each year the days differ. Lunch bunch goes from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. three days a week. Pizza is offered two of those days.Back to Top
What is the process for drop-off and pick-up?
Parent's walk their children to the front of the school in the morning. This is a great opportunity for parent's to meet one another. At pick-up the teachers put the children into their car.Back to Top
How do parent's/teachers communicate?
The teacher's give a weekly newsletter so that the parent's know what will be taught in class. Teacher web provides another means of communication. Parent's can email teachers (through teacher web) if they have questions/concerns. We have conferences after progress reports are distributed. Furthermore, children have a daily discipline calendar that goes home so that parent's know what kind of day they have.Back to Top
What is the teacher turn-over rate?
Mrs. Gray has been here since the preschool has opened. Mrs. Hcikey was hired when the class-size started to grow. Both have been here ever since.Back to Top
