General Guidelines

Independent writing for inclusion in the Writing Knights magazine can be created 
about any topic, keeping in mind the following general guidelines:
  1. No Slander / Libel
  2. No Profanity, Obscenity or Vulgarity
  3. No Sacrilege
  4. No Plagiarism
  5. Parental approval and signature will be required prior to publication
  6. Editorial Staff Discretion



No Slander / Libel

No untruthful  statement about a person that harms a person's 
reputation or standing in the community.

No Profanity, Obscenity or Vulgarity

No inappropriate words, images, or insinuation

No Sacrilege

No statements that offend, are irreverent, or are contrary to the 
Church's teaching

No Plagiarism

No claiming someone else's written or creative work as your own

Parental approval and signature will be required prior to publication

Although parental review is unnecessary for submission of an entry to 
the magazine, no child's work will be published without a specific 
approval and release signed by a parent and/or legal guardian

Editorial Staff Discretion

**THE EDITORIAL STAFF RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DENY PUBLICATION IN THE 
WRITING KNIGHTS MAGAZINE TO ANY SUBMISSION DEEMED INAPPROPRIATE FOR A 
CATHOLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL MAGAZINE.
