Literary Categories small medium large Writing submissions can be in any literary category, including: Short Story- Fictional, personal, or historically based Poetry- Writing in verse with rhythm and/or rhyme, conveying emotion, experiences or ideas Prose- Writing without strict rhyme or rhythm rules, free verse Essay/Opinion- Discussion piece on any topic important to the writer: reflections on politics, education, sports, faith, friendship, love, family, etc. Prayers- Of praise, petition, thanksgiving Song/Lyric- Original musical score, twinkle, and words Comic Strip/Cartoon- A drawing or sequence of drawings that tells a humorous story or conveys a humorous message Screenplay/Script- Written dialogue and settings for a story intended to be acted out Or, would you like to view and optionally restore one of these previous versions?
