Ms. Cassie Beveridge
Upper School Reading and English
This is my 16th year teaching. I did my student teaching at the
Hawaii School for the Deaf and Blind. Then I taught for one year at the
California School for the Deaf in Fremont. I missed my "home" state of
Texas, so I moved back and taught at the Texas School for the Deaf. I also
taught American Sign Language in public schools there. When my parents
decided to retire in Pittsburgh, I followed them up here. Now
I have two great babysitters for my beautiful daughter. I love teaching at
W.P.S.D.! It is one of the finest deaf schools that I have seen.
To create an interesting and challenging environment for all students.
To encourage students to become active learners who think independently and
problem solve creatively.
Hopefully students will walk away from this class believing that READING AND
WRITING ARE FUN!
