Please email WMA_Weekly-subscribe@waldronmercy.org How to Have a Successful Fourth Grade Organization - start organizing at least one book shelf or drawer over the summer. Know exactly where everything is, so that you can take things out of there without even having to think about it. Once you've mastered that, organize your whole room, then help organize the house. Basic Facts - addition, subtraction, and multiplication. Check out the Math links on the Fourth Grade web site. Be able to answer any single digit addition, subtraction, or multiplication question in three seconds or less. Once you've mastered that, work on your division. You'll be adding single, double, and triple digits, as well as the same for subtraction. For subtraction, practice carrying and subtracting across zeroes. Work on your multiplication facts from 0-12. Just ten minutes a day is all you need. Higher Order Thinking - watch the videos on the Higher Order Thinking page of the Fourth Grade website. Have your parents watch them too and they can read the text of that page as well. Responsibility - Start taking on additional responsibilities and owning up to them. You will be tasked with many new responsibilities and the more practice you get now, the better off you'll be.
