Dear Parents,
It's hard to believe that this is my final week here at Waldron Mercy Academy!! My time here has
been an unforgettable and absolutely amazing experience. I am so fortunate to have met you all, and
had the privledge of teaching your children since the beginning of the school year. I will make sure
to visit as often as possible, I will certainly miss this class! Words cannot describe how much I have
enjoyed this experience and watching your children grow and learn. Thank you all for being so kind
and generous to me these past few months. I could not have asked for better parents and children to
help me begin my teaching career.
This is also the final week of 2009 at Waldron! This week will bring much excitement for the
children. Monday they will get a chance to do some shopping for the people you have put on the
envelope. Please fill it out and send it to school on Monday. The children will also get a chance to
have their picture taken with Santa and enjoy a snack.
On Tuesday they will assemble Gingerbread houses. All parents are invited
and encouraged to come to this fun event. If you are able to join us, please
sign in at the front desk and wait in the cafeteria for us. We will be coming
down at 8:30.
On Thursday we will have the time honored tradition of going to Mr.
Stritch's office, cozying up by the fireplace and listen to him read The
Polar Express. The children are to bring a robe or night clothes that can fit
over their uniform. Slippers are optional.
On Friday, our last day, the children will have a snack provided by one of
the moms. Mrs. Dougherty has been in contact with the parents that
volunteered at the beginning of the year. We will meet our fifth grade
buddies and read the grandparent letters. We will also exchange our PollyAnna
books on Friday. Please make sure these last two items are in school. The due
date for both was last Friday.
Again, I am so thankful to all of you for making this one of the best experiences of my life. I hope
that you and your families have a joyous and blessed Christmas.
