Dear Parent,
Welcome back and Happy New Year! I want to thank each and everyone
for your very generous Christmas gifts. I was overwhelmed by your
generosity. I hope everybody is rested and ready for the second half of
first grade. Classes will resume on Monday, January 5. It is Day 2. Room
10 will have Science and Spanish. Library books are due by Friday. Room 10
will have Gym next Monday, January 1.
January 8, is the retake day for school pictures. Please send in a form
if you would like your child to have their picture retaken.
The children will find themselves to be very busy in January. Please
make sure they are prepared for each and every day. They all need to restock
their pencils, markers and glue. Check with your children to make sure they
have all the supplies they need to be ready for each day.
Hopefully, your child has been reading every day and filling out their
Philly Phanatic paper. We would love to see the Phanatic at our WMA!
Homework begins on Monday. I am also sending home your child's test
folder. Please sign and return all tests in test folder. In a few weeks,
first grade will begin formal spelling test. I will be sending home
information about that soon.
