| Reminders for the Week of May 12, 2008
Our picnic is set for Thursday, May 22 at General Wayne Park. The park is
right outside our back gate and takes about 10 minutes for us to walk.
Please reserve the date if you can. We invite all parents to join us. We
usually walk up about 10:30 and return to school about 2:00. In the
beginning of May we will send a letter telling you the specifics. Our Big
Buddies also join us for the day. The sign up papers were due MAY 7.
Please send any RSVP's in as soon as possible.
Look for a VERY SPECIAL HOMEMADE MOTHER"S DAY GIFT coming home with your
child on Friday. The children worked very hard on this and we can assure
you that it was made with lots of love. A definite keepsake!
Our May Devotion to the Blessed Mother will take place on Thursday, May 15.
I do not know the particuliars at this time but I will update this when I
know more as far as time and place. This is a chance for us as a group to
give honor to Mary, Our Blessed Mother.
If your child has a summer birthday and you wish to celebrate it this month,
please let us know what day you would like to do it. Birthdays in school
are always very special.
Our End Of The Year Celebration (NOT GRADUATION) will take place on
Thursday, May 29. The rhymes are coming along great. The children have
been very anxious to say them. Continue to work with them every night
especially those who are still a little uncertain. For those who know the
lines, work on saying it SLOWLY and CLEARLY. We want everyone to enjoy and
laugh with us.
Even though the weather is getting warmer, please remember that sneakers are
the best shoes for school and play. Please do not send the children in
crocs or sandles. The children may love these but for play, especially
outside, they are not safe. Thank you for honoring this request.
If the spare clothes you have in school are definitely warm-weather
clothes, you might want to consider sending in a replacement with a short
sleeve shirt and maybe shorts or light pants.
Just to keep you updated -- as of Monday, May 12, we will only have 11 more
days together. Our first year at WMA certainly flew by!
