All the R.A.G.E. (Relational Aggression, Girls Empowered) Parent Program
Waldron Mercy is embarking on a series of informational sessions for parents for the purpose of assisting parents in the process of acknowledging challenges our children face today.
Our first parent study group utilizes the program developed by The Ophelia Project to educate parents about relational aggression and the culture of today’s girls. This discussion includes topics such as “The Language of Peer Aggression” and “Media and Today’s Youth.” These structured discussion groups, for parents of girls in grades 6, 7 and 8, will meet five consecutive Tuesday mornings (May 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29) from 8:15 to 9:45 a.m. in the Perry Memorial Library. Recommended books for further reading will be provided at the first meeting.
Please reply by Friday, April 27, for reservations. There will be a $25 fee for program material. Checks can be made out to Waldron Mercy Academy and sent to the Front Desk. Please write "RAGE" in the check memo. We are hoping to keep the group numbers around 12 to 15 people for the purpose of small group discussion.
If you have any questions, please contact Nell Stetser or Kenya Holly.
