Summer Reading Requirements for the 2013 - 2014 School Year

Parents and Students:

Over the summer, all Wilson Area High School students will be required to
complete reading assignments. It is important for students to continue to
develop the reading skills that they have learned. As with many skills in
life, continued practice leads to continued success. Taking a break from
reading may unfortunately cause students to lose ground in their learning.
The English Department at Wilson Area High School encourages students to read
widely and daily. It is our hope that students will read many more books than
simply the ones that are required, which are listed below.

Summer Reading for 2012-2013 School Year

Most students in grades 9-12 will have summer reading assignments with the
following exceptions: those who take Basic English 9, 10, 11, or 12.

English 10:
The Catcher in the Rye, by J.D. Salinger
