Welcome to McDonough's Bioworld!

Welcome to Mrs. McDonough's web page! Who am I? I have been teaching biology
for over a quarter of a century. I have been at Wissahickon for the majority
of this time. I am a complete Bio-Geek, I love the stuff! For more about
just how much I love it, check out below for descriptions of my research and
course work.

Background Information

Personal:
I am married with two children. My husband is a biomedical engineer at
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where he assists in clinical pulmonary
research. My eldest child is currently studying architecture at GaTech. My
youngest is currently in high school. I have two cats.

In my free time:
I love to read, cook, bike, hike, garden and swim. In the summer I enjoy
sailing and kayaking in the Chesapeake Bay Area. I have backpacked in the
Rocky Mountains--the Tetons and Bob Marshal Wilderness Area.

Books:
My favorite author is Steinbeck. Most influential book is "Omnivore's
Dilemma". Summer Reading too numerous to list them all but included "Your
Inner Fish", "The Primal Teen Brain" and "The Mine and the Well".
