Personal
Mr. Sabia lives with a wife (retired hygienist) and son (30) in
Lansdale in a contemporary house that he designed and built. His son
Michael is with the army serving in Iraq. Mr. Sabia’s favorite activities
involve creating and designing. Whether it is creating PowerPoint’s, lesson
plans, problem solving, drawing, or coaching, he is happiest using his mind
in activities that help others.
Although he is 63, he still plays basketball and tennis competitively in
leagues and with his students. Socially He enjoys traveling, art, musicals,
sailing Hobie cats, dancing, reading adventure books, cinema and family
activities.
Probably the most unusual thing about Mr. Sabia is his identical twin Warren
Sabia who is also a mathematics teacher at Wissahickon High School. As you
might surmise, this leads to a lot of humor, confusion and chaos.
Professional
Michael Sabia is a geometry teacher at Wissahickon High School in
Ambler, PA. He has been a builder, developer, title insurance manager,
teacher, coach (basketball, softball, football, tennis, and swimming many of
which were championship seasons).
As a builder developer, Mr Sabia has completed over 300 units. He
has buildings in Reading, Whitemarsh, Lower Gwyned, Plymouth Meeting, Mount
Penn, Lansdale etc..
He has an extensive background in site planning, surveying, computer
programming, government and conventional financing, architecture, and
management.
Students miss class for all sorts of reasons: illness, family trips,
sports, field trips, trips to doctors or dentist, and many others. The
PowerPoint explanations of the geometry will enable them to catch up on
missed instruction. For students who are falling behind, the PowerPoints
can be viewed over and over again till the material is obsorbed.
Good luck.
