Spartan Service Project
Spartans are collecting pennies as part of the Pennies for Peace
program, to benefit school children in Afghanistan and Pakistan. To

Several Spartan classrooms have collection boxes or jars. Here's

Parents and students, we will occasionally send out a "news flash" to
remind you of important upcoming events. If you would like to be
notified when a new NEWSFLASH is posted, please click on the button at

NEW TEACHER E-MAIL ADDRESSES:
We now have a new district email address @wsdweb.org. Teachers will continue to receive email on our @wsd.k12.pa.us, however, all new email that we send will be from @wsdweb.org. The @wsd.k12.pa.us will no longer be active after December 31, 2009.
IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT OUR SPAM FILTER:
In an effort to prevent parent and student e-mail from being identified as SPAM, the district instructed people to use WSD in the subject line of an e-mail to get past the spam filter. However, spammers have found a way around this (they are putting our e-mail addresses into the subject line and hence we are receiving SPAM mail). Therefore, the district has changed the code word to WSDSECURE. Please put this word somewhere in the subject line, and the mail will be whitelisted, which means it's guaranteed not to go into SPAM mail.

Student grades are accesible online. If you don't already have a username and password for accessing the SAPPHIRE gradebook site, it's something you can set up by going to the Wissahickon Middle School site, clicking on FOR PARENTS, and then clicking on the Parent Portal LETTER.
