Mrs. Weninger has been at WMS since 2000. Before that, she taught Biology at the high school and Laboratory Science at Manor College in Jenkintown. Mrs. Weninger received her B.S. in Medical Technology from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and her M.A. in Secondary Education from La Salle. When she is not teaching, Mrs. Weninger enjoys spending time with her husband Mark, daughter Rachel, and her dog Nittany. Mr. Hartman lives in Bucks County, PA. He is married and has one child - Thomas who is nine years old. He has taught at the Middle School for the last seven years. Mr. Hartman Has a B.A. in English/Communications and a M.A. in Education. He is also the head coach of the Middle School Girls Soccer and Softball teams along with coaching the Varsity Girls High School Basketball team. Ms. Test has lived in Virginia, Connecticut, Rhode Island and New Mexico. She is married and has two kids - 13 and 16 years old. She moved here from Albuquerque in 2002, where she taught bilingual 7th grade Latin American and New Mexican history and culture for 10 years at John Adams Middle School. She earned an M.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of New Mexico and a B.A. in Latin American Studies from Central Connecticut State University. This is Ms. Spall's third year in the Wissahickon School District. She has a B.S. from Temple University in Secondary Education-English. Before joining the Wissahickon School District, she taught English in two Philadelphia Charter high schools as well as was a Title I Reading teacher at St. Gabriel's Hall in Audobon,PA. She is currently taking graduate classes at Cabrini College to obtain a Master's degree in Education with a Principal certification. She will graduate December 2009. Travel is Ms. Spall's passion!!! In addition to travel, her other passions are cooking & shopping. Ms. Briggs has been teaching at WMS since 1994. She has worked with all grade levels throughout that time and is pleased to be a member of the Spartans team. Ms. Briggs earned a B.S. in Special Education at Gwynedd- Mercy College and an M. Ed. in Special Education at Beaver College (Arcadia University). Ms. Briggs continues her affiliation with Arcadia as an adjunct professor. When not teaching, Ms. Briggs enjoys reading and spending time with family, friends, and her book club. This is Mr. Deckebach's 17th year teaching, 4th at WMS, and 2nd with the mighty Spartans. Mr. D is also the MathCounts coach at WMS and has had the good fortune of having students excel at Chapter, State, and National MathCounts Competitions. Mr. D earned his B.S. (and first teaching certificate) from Eastern Michigan University and his Master's degree in Mathematics Education from Arcadia University. His post-graduate work is on-going and this past summer he took a course in learning how to work with a program called Geometer's Sketchpad that he plans to introduce to his students this year. Mr. D is the proud husband of Shady Grove Reading Specialist, Mrs. Deckebach, and has a 9th grade son and 2nd grade daughter in the Abington School District. Between family and school he finds time to devote to running, weight lifting, and his true passion --- attending live music concerts.
