Hi! My name is Mrs.Baron and I am the school counselor at Wycallis
Elementary. I am a graduate of Wilkes College where I received a Bachelor of
Arts Degree in Psychology and Certification in Elementary Education. I
earned a Master of Science Degree from Marywood College in Elementary
Guidance and Counseling. I have been a teacher and counselor in the Pittston
Area School District and a counselor for the Hanover Area School District.
I have been employed by the Dallas School District as an elementary
counselor and after school teacher since 1998.
I enjoy reading and being with family and friends. I am married and have
two children, Kristina, a graduate of The University of Pittsburgh, working
in New York and Jenna, a freshman at The University of Pittsburgh. We have a
family pet, a cat,Sami.
The School Counselor at Wycallis works with students to help them
develop academically, personally and socially. I work closely with parents,
teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to provide students
with the best possible resources and services. I can help students do better
in school, build positive self-images, enjoy good relationships with others
and develop good feelings about work, family and society. I like to help
students understand themselves and others, prevent problems from
developing,help identify children with special needs, provide crisis
intervention and coordinate and facilitate efforts of others to provide all
necessary services for students.
I meet with students individually and in groups and often consult with
parents to discuss concerns they may have about their children. If students
would like to meet with me they should tell their teacher and I will be in
touch with them. Parents can meet with me by appointment. The phone number
