Daily Meeting Activities

Working with the Calendar

Students say and repeat the
month, spell it, say the days of
the week, count the number days,
and move the pointer up the
calendar column to find out what
day of the week it is! There is
also a pattern for the month.

Weather Chart

Students decide the weather for
the day, add a weather picture
then we count the amount
for each...which has the
most/fewest.

Color and High-Frequency Words

Students read the color and high-
frequency word cards together.

Money Poems

Students recite the money poems.

Shapes

Students point to the shapes.
We also count the sides and
notice similiarities in the
words. We make the shapes in the
air.

Counting the days of school!

We add a straw for each school
day. Students bundle the straws
when we reach ten. We also have a
number line around the room and
we mark the days of school on
that also! We recently added a
paper fish tank and we add a fish
a day.
