Grading Criteria:
10% Class Participation/Attendance
45% Tests/Quizzes
45% Classroom and Homework Assignments/ Computer Projects
Since 10% of the marking period grade will be for class participation, a
student who is chronically absent will not participate in classroom
activities and not receive class participation points. Therefore, it is
important for students not to make it a habit to miss class for appointments,
club activities, etc. whenever possible.
All computer work must be done in class utilizing files on the file server.
(Attendance in class is obviously very important since 45% of the grade is
based on computer assignments.) No disks are allowed in the computer lab
without the permission of the teacher.
If you are absent on the day a test is given, you will be expected to take
the test on the first day that you return to school. The only exception is
in the case of an extended illness when three or more consecutive days have
been missed. In that case, an arrangement will be made to make up the test
within a reasonable amount of time.
