Occasionally written homework is assigned. These papers will be stamped as "Homework." Supervise homework and be sure your child completes and places it in his/her green "Go" folder. A record is kept of assignments. You will be notified when your child misses assignments. Remember to review all workbook pages sent home each day with your child. Printed on the bottom of the math and reading pages, there are some very good ideas in the "Home Connection" and "Home Activities" that you can use to help your child. Read, read, read, to your child. Ask him/her to tell you what happens in the beginning, middle, and end of a story. Ask about the setting and characters of the story, and ask him/her to predict what will come next in the story. Your child will love spending time with you and will develop comprehension skills as well.
