Today is Tuesday, April 24th, 2012. Election Day!
PSSA season is beginning to wind down! Spring is a busy time for the school counselor, who is the School Coordinator of PSSA testing.
In May, I will be coordinating the administration of the Stanford Acheivement Test, a group standardized acheivement test administered to all 1st and 2nd grade students.
I will also be working with Mr. Yatsko, our middle school counselor, to coordinate and facilitate a transition program for the 6th grade students moving on to 7th grade at the Secondary Center. We will be collaborating to schedule eligible students for the advanced Math and Science classes in 7th grade as well.
This school year has been both challenging and rewarding, as we experienced historic and devastating weather events, and witnessed the powerful ability of a caring community to come together in difficult times.
I have continued to focus on working with students, teachers, parents, administrators, and various other team members to meet the individual needs of every student. I have been enjoying my 2nd year as your school counselor, and look forward to next year.
