Homework is assigned as necessary to practice and review the skills that
are taught in school. Homework is not assigned on weekends or holidays, as I
feel that this is time for your child to spend with family. Each of our
classrooms has a homework board where assignments for all subjects are posted
daily. We encourage your child to copy the assignments to the planner that
was provided by the PTO.
If your child does not complete his/her homework, a homework slip will be
sent home. If three homework slips are given in one subject during one
marking period, after school detention will be assigned.
However, if an emergency occurs that prevents your child from completing
the homework assignment, please send in a note so I know that you are aware
your child's obligation. This work must be completed by the next day and
will not count towards a homework slip. This should not be an everyday
occurrence.
