PLEASE MAKE A NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING CHANGES:
Easter break is now only until Monday April 9th. School will be open on
Tuesday April 10th.
The last day of school will now be Monday, June 11th.
Reading Logs have begun again for the month of February. Please make sure to
bring in your reading log EACH Monday.
The young ladies and gentlemen in my room have been working so very hard on
money concepts. (counting, adding, recognition) They have been doing such a
phenominal job!! Thank you to all that practice, practice, practice to help
with such success! <3
The excitement is here!! We have started cursive letters and I have to say
that everyone is doing an AWESOME job. The letters are almost too perfect!
GREAT JOB boys and girls!
I would like to thank ALL of my students and parents who were so very
generous with their gifts, sending in the food for the children to enjoy and
just the overall wishes for a great day. May you ALL have a wonderful,
peaceful holiday season.
There are several families that have been GREATLY affected by the flooding
that has occurred. Anyone that can to reach out and help where you can,
please do. Any and all help I am sure would be greatly appreciated during
this surely devastating time.
Please check the District web site for current updates and information.
Please check AND SIGN your child's planner DAILY for homework, notes and
announcements.
If your child is going home in a way other than their normal route please
send in a note for security and safety reasons.
At Home Reading Logs-- What I ask is that your son/daughter read 5 days for
at least 15 minutes during each week. (Of course they may read longer.)
They need to read to an adult and that adult needs to sign their paper each
day that they heard them read.
Every Monday I will be collecting their reading that they have
completed from the previous week--i.e. Tommy read Oct. 1 through Oct. 5 for
15 minutes each night and his mom signed each day. On Tuesday, October 9 I
collected Oct. 1-5 from him. I put a sticker on his chart that he read each
day and he got a sticker for doing the project. (This IS NOT a
requirement.) If he completes 5 days each week for the month he
will be able to pick out of the "Red Bag".
